The bandeja is only useful if it helps you keep good court position. This drill connects the shot to the recovery that follows it.
Setup
Start near the net. Your partner lobs over your dominant shoulder. Play a controlled bandeja deep into the opposite corner.
How to run it
- Move back early
- Prepare the racket before the ball drops too low
- Hit with control rather than maximum pace
- Recover toward the net immediately after contact
- Repeat for 8 to 12 balls
Progression
Add a live point after the bandeja. This tests whether your recovery position is good enough to handle the next shot.
